With one lever, one blade and your hand. No cable, no compressor, no cutting disc. What a Peddinghaus hand tool cuts, it cuts in one stroke, right where you are standing.
Four jobs cover almost everything these machines were built for. Find yours, and next to it is the machine that does it.
A straight cut through plate, flat bar, round or square steel. No sparks, no kerf loss, no cutting disc wearing away.
Hand lever shears 1 BR, 2 BR, 4 BR →The lever presses the punch through the material. The hole is immediately to size and clean, with no pilot hole, no chips, no coolant and no drill wandering off the mark.
Hand lever punching machines 21 and Duplex 27 →Changing between shear and drill all day costs steps. One frame, two separate levers, two people can work at the same time.
Combined shearing and punching machine 34 BR 6 P →Cut rebar to length on site and bend it into shape. No sparks, so it also works where hot work is not allowed.
Rebar cutters 50, benders 61 and 66 →This is not nostalgia. It is about where the work happens and what is left behind.
Nothing to plug in, nothing to spin up, no waiting. Pull the lever, the cut is done. For single cuts that beats any machine that has to be switched on first.
Shell construction, shaft, roof, assembly site. No socket, no generator, no flat battery. The portable punching machine weighs 19 kg and punches the beam where it is already installed.
No cutting disc, so no flying sparks and no hot edge. That counts wherever fire protection or dust is an issue.
One lever, one pin, one blade. Nothing that burns out. Blades are replaceable, the machines last for decades.
What counts is the thickest section you cut regularly, not the thinnest. A machine working at its limit wears out faster.

All capacities refer to material with a tensile strength of up to 450 N/mm². With stronger steel the figures drop; for the rebar machines the data sheet lists this line by line.
It usually means the same machine. If you call it something else, we will still find it. Call us and describe what you want to cut.

Peddinghaus has been building machines for steel processing for over 120 years, from the hand lever shear to the CNC line. Whoever designed the machine also knows which blade and which punch belong in it. Our choice of material lets you work longer: original tooling withstands the load up to three times longer than copies from other makers.
View the machines →Top and bottom blades have their own part numbers and can be ordered separately, including for machines that have been in service a long time.
The punching machines come with the round punch mounted and the matching round die. The cutting clearance is right from the works.
Machine and tooling are designed for each other, not imitated.
Name the material and the thickness, and we will tell you which machine belongs with it.
